Angelina is Finished

Yippee Angelina is finished, she has been a lot of fun to knit even if there was a lot of ribbing. I was going to take a pic just of the jacket because I hate having my photo taken but realise that the detail shows up better when there is someone wearing it so here it is. I also included a pic of 'the blanket' before it was sewn up, I call it the blanket because that is what it felt like on my lap when I was making it.

I am so relieved to know that my SP and her family are safe and the day that I was wondering was she OK, the cutest card turned up in the mail from her. She had posted it while on holiday, YOU ARE THE BEST SP A GIRL COULD HAVE, very thoughtful to think of me while on your holiday.

I am going to Hobart tomorrow with one of my SILs, the one who has just taken up knitting, yay we are going to have so much fun hitting the wool shops. The postman dropped off the wool I ordered from Ozyarn today so I can start on my new project. More about that in my next post.

Glad you got the postcard - those pixies were cute weren't they ?!

Imagine my surprise when walking through Wellington Walk in Hobart today I the lady coming towards me was wearing *insert surprised look here* an Angelina jacket in a shade of fawn. I couldn't believe my eyes so I had a second and then a third look as the lady walked past me.

Admittedly yours looks heaps better in that lovely shade of green.

Cathy.

I didn't realise how much rib there was on that jacket. Well done. I did a rib baby jacket and found that heavy going

Your Angelina is gorgeous! I have the pattern and attempted it once and gave up on all the ribbing. I think I didn't like my yarn or color much. I'm wondering if you modified the pattern at all, and what weight yarn did you use? I think I tried it in sportweight.
Now that I see yours, I want to make it again. It's definitely my style.

Your Angelina Jacket is just lovely on you; the color is wonderful. This is the first of the White Lies patterns I've seen done besides the models online. And you've encouraged me to give it a try. What yarn did you use?

The yarn is from Bendigo Woollen Mills and is called Mystique a wool/alpaca/mohair blend in 8 ply.
