Missing Presumed ????

About three years ago a little kitten walked through our back door and adopted us, we have cared for her ever since and she has become one of the family, but as the title suggests Tabby disappeared on Tuesday and hasn't been seen since. She would always be at the front door waiting for me whenever I had been out and as Tuesday was our Stitch and Bitch gathering I thought it strange when I returned home and she was not waiting for me. She would also wait with the kids every morning at the bus stop till their bus came, which by the way is out the front of our house, and then would sit on our fence looking down the road once the bus had come along and taken its passengers with it. It seemed to take a few minutes to register that they had gone for the day and then she would come back inside the house with me. As she has never been in the habit of wandering off I can only assume that she is no longer alive. Tabby featured unwittingly in one of my early blogging posts here It is all a bit sad and I only hope that she is at peace wherever she is and that we will all miss her very much.

Oh I am so sorry to hear about Tabby, what a terrible shame. You never know, perhaps she will just turn up out of the blue one day. I really hope so.

Oh Sharon, she may just have been spooked by the weather, she may come back. We are thinking of you, even the Labradors who like the cat next door, so they are sad too.

Knitting without a yarn familiar just isn't the same. People say cats are so aloof but your post shows different. I like to think that cats are just uncomfortable with displaying tender feelings - it's just not a terribly hip thing to do in the cat world

I hope she comes back. It's lonely without that purring company during the day.

Oh Sharon!! I just hope she has gone visiting or something and will come back.

I remember my cat I had as a teen use to wander off for days once he hit the age of 5. Then one day he never came back. Years later my mother and I still waited for him. Then we just gave up.

I hope she comes back really I do. Not knowing is always the worse part.

I don't know what to say, other than I know how you're feeling and that I'm hoping she's safe.

I hope Tabby comes home soon or that someone else that she's adopted is feeding her well and giving her a nice warm bed to sleep in.

I've just had a big catch up read of your blog and I'm amazed with how much you've done in a few short weeks!!! The squirrel looks great! The vest!! The Summer Shrug looks better than in Knitty. AND you are to begin the Ribby cardy with Jo Sharp's Aran Tweed - I am envious!! I love that pattern, its in my ONE DAY... list and I love that yarn!! Willow is a lovely colour. Happy Knitting! I'm watching to see how Ribby goes :-) Stripey
