From This

to this

Yes I have finally got around to posting some pics of my very first attempt at dyeing, this is also one of the wonderful pressies that BECKY from SP5 sent me that I have just gotten around to doing. She sent me some lovely hand spun wool together with some Kool-Aid, which we can't get here in Australia which is a bit sad. I think I could get used to doing this so that when I finally get the hang of spinning I might just start spinning and dyeing my own yarns, maybe, please don't hold me to that.
**UPDATE ON ROCKY**
Rocky is doing fine, a little quieter than usual but considering I have had the wool winder out which usually can be a little tricky with a playful kitten about, probably just as well!!

Utterly, utterly gorgeous! I should warn you, dyeing is ADDICTIVE!!! I actually use Landscape Dyes, which are speciality wool dyes and are poisonous so have to be used carefully, but food colouring does a good job too and you can get it in the supermarket.

Glad the poor kitty is on the mend - it's horrid when pets are hurt or sick :(

I've got some knitpicks dye your own, that I am far too nervous to do...but great dye job you've done Sharon! Happy to hear Rocky's ok.

Poor little Rocky....I'd like to give that cat next door his come-uppins, nasty brute! I'm so glad the little guy is healing although I'm sure he's still traumatized.

I love the yarn colors...it's just what I'd pick if I was shopping for yarns. :)

Yes, I've become seriously addictied to tweeking my blog on a fairly regular basis, and it's all due to a certain generous friend who's knowledge and help created a "techie monster" in the making, LOL. Can I borrow your lady knitting button? Love Ya!

The koolaid yarn is georgous. And Potomaus looks fab, as do your lighhouse socks. You do beautiful work.

If you look back in my blog, there is a link to the round facecloth (It is from www.mielkesfarm.com)

I really hope little Rocky is still getting better. What a sweet little guy. You need a dog to go after other cats. I'm only half kidding.

Your newly dyed wool is very pretty. What did you make of it, or did I miss something?
