Tiger Socks

Can you see a resemblance? The colours of Tigers are striking as is the color in the Opal Tiger sock yarn. These have been on the needles for a while and I finally got around to finishing them Monday night. Once again I used this pattern knitted on 2.5mm bamboo double pointed needles.

I am working on another sock pattern at the moment, spent way too many hours with pen, paper and calculator and of course needles and yarn. Maths was not my strong point at school, I was more of an English, Social Studies girl so my math brain is sorely put to the test when I am trying to figure out new patterns and their workings. I am trying to come up with a simple pattern that will work well with hand dyed yarns, so stay tuned and I will report on its progress.

Math is evil. Love the colors in your socks.

Ugh! My eldest wants those as he supports the local football team, the Bengals. (They pronounce it "bangles" here!!) One day, I'll learn to knit socks ...

Me likes them socks!

I recently googled for sock yarn and came up with this ebay site in Vic that sells Opal sock yarn at a reasonable price. The ebay seller name is - shauns_nan. Looks like she has been selling on ebay for 4 years and $7 seems a good price as I'm sure I've seen this yarn around for $20. You get a free pattern too, or is this normal. Not being a sock knitter, I don't know. I've not ordered any - should I?

Hi, my first time by your spot and I love the look.

Hope your son is doing well after his surgery. I used to work for an Oral and Maxillofacial surgeon (eons ago) so am familiar with the surgery.

Love the tiger socks but also enjoyed the Toast and Marmalade for Tea socks.

I'll be by again.

I've been coveting the tiger yarn from Opal,.. I guess it's getting "rare" or at least according to a couple of sellers. They look awesome...you really crank out the knitting!

They're fantastic! I knew I'd regret not buying this yarn on eBay last year.

Astrid has some good prices for Opal also. http://www.astridsdutchobsessions.com. I sent my one skein pal a skein of the Toucan looking colors (the label was in German because my mom brought it back from Frankfurt, so I am not sure if that's the actual name of the colorway). I really want to knit up the ladybug skein I have! The tiger looks great and it's inspiring me...yeah right after I finish those socks that rock!
