Central Park Hoodie

Central Park Hoodie now has a back and two fronts and the sleeves are started, I am going to be knitting them both at the same time so that they will be identical.

This pattern is such a great knit and I would highly recommend it to anyone who has so far been put off attempting cables as the pattern is easily remembered and simple to do yet still look so affective.

The knew Knitty is up and I have a huge desire to make Lizard Ridge

I just love the colours which of course is created by using the gorgeous yarn, Noro Kureyon. The unfortunate part is the cost but I think if I spoil myself with a couple of balls at a time it wont seem such an extravagance, right?

I am having trouble with my wrist again, just when we all thought here in Launceston that spring had arrived and winter was behind us, the mornings have been icy cold and frosty again. I have had to bring out the magnetic wrist support again so that I can continue knitting without pain.

It is also school holidays here in Tasmania for the next two weeks which I have to admit means a bit of an easier time for me. Yeah sure the kids are home all day but there are no lunches to be made, parent help and other school activities to go to, or sport that the kids need taking to or picked up from. So all in all I get a lot more knitting done as well and I can stay up a bit later at night knowing that the circus of getting children off to school in the mornings wont be there for a couple of weeks, ahhhh!

Till next time, happy knitting.

I shuddered to think of the price of the yarn for that afghan, but it sure is pretty.

Central Park Hoodie is looking good. Can't wait to see it all together.

I love the way your Errol CardiFlynn is looking!! I have finished the back and I'm accidentally knitting a new pair of socks!! Hope the wrist is feeling better. Tori the Dead Crippled Labrador always felt worst in Spring. It is all the barometric ups and downs I think!! Ah, a giant lot of Noro......one can only dream...

That is a good idea of a few balls of Noro at a time, I may have to put it back on to my to do list with a winning strategy like that.

I can relate to wrist aches, mine's been playing up this last week must be a combination of cold mornings, over air conditioned class rooms and waaaay too much writing!

I love that blanket too but instead of Kureyon, I'm going to get my favourite dyer to dye some softer yarn for me. Should cut the price by more than half!

The hoodie looks gorgeous. Hope the wrist gets better soon!

Sharon, your Hoodie looks great. I really like jumpers with cables. Just can't wait to see it done!

Ooh, enjoy the holiday, and yes, I totally agree that buying a few balls at a time to make the blanket is perfectly acceptable!

That afghan is taking blogland by storm. This is the third link to it I've seen today. Sure is pretty! I think buying the yarn a little at a time is the way to go.

The hoodie looks great! Enjoy your extra knitting time.

Great looking knitting! I love that blanket, too. Smart idea about getting the yarn a little at a time. You're lucky the kids get some time off. I always thought that when they went to school, I'd have more time. Now I know that the oppposite is true.

I love the afghan, but cannot fathom how much it cost. Hopefully someone else has a bunch of beautiful self striping worsted weight yarn.

You are working so fast on the CPH it is practically knitting itself when you turn your back!!

I loved the colors in the afghan too, perfect for our gray winters. That's a great idea, to buy the wool a little at a time.

Hope you are feeling better-- I use a magnet too for my wrist sometimes and it works great.

Love the Central Park Hoodie. I think knitting the 2 sleeves at the same time is such a great idea! I did that with my clogs... my second (sock or whatever) always seems a bit different than the first for me.

Oh, yes, Lizard Ridge is fab! One ball at a time is a good way to accumulate that needed yummy but $$ yarn.

Hope your wrist feels better - I can emapathise with you. My wrists frequently hurt - mostly when I have a lot of stress and need a massage.

Enjoy your weeks off-
