I Hate Purple

So why on earth have I knitted this? Just because I don't like it doesn't mean that someone else wont. I have been knitting lots of hats lately filling up
My Etsy Shop for winter. Yes I know that I shouldn't mention that dreadful word yet as it does seem far away. I have been getting quite a few orders from family and friends so that has been keeping me busy also which explains my absence from blogland.

Not much else to report other than Lizard Ridge is still staring at me from the knitting basket waiting patiently to be sewn, there is a reason why I have never made blankets with squares before!

I am going away this weekend with my GEMS girls so I wont be doing a great deal of knitting or autoharp playing either for that matter. I am addicted to this instrument and probably driving everyone around here mad with it. I have already got my eye on one of these which would be great to own but at the moment it is only a dream. I think a lot of hats would have to be sold before I could afford one and even if I could getting it here would cost an arm and a leg also.

Oh well that is about all for now till next time,
happy knitting.

Gasp! The title of your post really caught my eye...I thought "Gasp, that can't be!" But, alas it is...someone who hates purple! Oh well, just because I love it doesn't mean everyone else has to ;o) lol. The hat looks awesome! I'm sure you'll do very well selling your hats.

The sacrifices one makes for one's art!! Have a great weekend. My Errol CardiFlynn is in the same basket as your Lizard Ridge!!!

I'm not a big fan of purple too! The hat is cute though. Have a great time!

Oh, I love purple. Your hats look amazing. Isn't it funny how we are drawn to different colours?

aww...even though you don't like purple...that hat is very pretty!!!

I guess it's a good thing we all like different colors, or we'd all be fighting over the same skeins of yarn in the shops! My hated color is brown, with orange thrown in for good measure. I would have to love someone a lot to knit in brown and orange for them.

Have a great weekend!!

I know a few people who love purple - I don't mind lilac. Anyway, one man's meat is another man's poison. Love your hat!

You can't just knit things that you like the colour of...imagine if 2paw did that...we would all look like clones.
Lots of people like purple...maybe you are on a winner.

I just read a blog post by someone else who doesn't like purple! Isn't that weird. I do like your hat, though.

Sorry winter is coming your way. I'm so glad it's leaving here!!

I don't hate purple but I am more of a green girl. Interesting link for the evo harp.

You know how I love purple ;-)

Yep..as cindy said..Sometimes sacrifices need to be made for ones art. I have found that out along the way knitting some things I would rather not.

Ok...I'll chime in, too, and declare "I LOVE LOVE LOVE purple" and I adore your hats!!!
Winter? Maybe a long way off for your part of the world...right here for a few more weeks in this part!
(((hugs)))

I like purple...looking forward to seeing Lizard Ridge when it's finished. Your work is gorgeous! I have a quilt that's been languishing in a cupboard for a while. It's basted and ready to be hand quilted, but I can't seem to get around to it! Maybe once winter gets here ;)

Hey...have been gone for a long time but I'm back! I have popped in quite often to see what you have been up to. The hat is beautiful!

Hey I am up to the peak on your hat. Bit confused how it works out before sewing it to the main hat.

Really like your flower.

My mitered square blanket is staring at me too. I'm just crocheting and weaving in the ends. It's daunting. But I'm so close to being done too. Hope yours gets done quickly too. Did you have fun? Is it finally cooling off there?

Well, I LOVE purple and it's beautiful! I'm not a "season" knitter, I knit what I want to knit whenever...the season doesn't matter. I hope to be knitting shawls after I knit 27 pairs of socks for my husband now that he has decided that he wants handknit socks...and lots of them, LOL! Which is cool, I love socknitting!
